SC fixes HEC devolution case for Monday

ISLAMABAD, April 9 (APP): Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has fixed a constitutional petition along with another plea invoking suo motu proceedings on the issue of devolution of Higher Education Commission (HEC) for Monday. The Chief Justice passed the order on Saturday for fixation of the issue before a bench headed by him.
The constitutional petition was filed by Professor G A Miana while the plea was moved by Professor Atta-ur-Rehman,  seeking suo motu proceedings on the issue, which was also allowed and clubbed with the main petition.
In the petition, it is prayed that a notification regarding devolution of the functions and authorities to the provinces of the ministries / departments / divisions through notification No.F.3(26)/2010-IC-I dated 31st March 2011 or any other notification or order or directions or command or by any means should be declared as unlawful, unconstitutional and void ab-initio. The Higher Education Commission should be allowed to function in terms and under the authority or ministry, the petitioner prayed

Its better to dissolve HEC as it has bias attitude toward religious higher studies, it creates crux and nothing more to them,its only serving other field of studies, even HEC elites does not know in what disciplines and departments and in which mode universities awarding degrees in higher religious studies, No religious journal fall in top category of recognized journals.What a pity that a quarterly Arabic journal Al dirasat Al Islamia which is recognized in gulf universities find its palace in X category, No arabic knowing expert in the HEC panel, If SC reinstate HEC, it has to treat all depatments egually.

  2. I want to give my opinion just an advise... Those universities which are registered with the HEC, HEC authorize them that after the degree completion that university fulfill the verification and attestation of the degree. then there will be no problem and the issue of the fake degrees will also restricts. this will also help the students and there will be no wastage of time for them... its an open and heartly opinion, if possible please take actions
