Alas!  Another exemplary model of faculty professional development is being ruined due to devolution of HEC…

National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) is a very well-known project of Higher Education Commission (HEC) dedicated for Continuous Professional Development of the faculty members. NAHE works to make teachers reflective practitioners, and capable to integrate new research methodologies into instruction, assuming new roles of instructional leadership. The project is managing countrywide activities that are related to professional development of teachers in higher education institutes. NAHE believes that deficiencies in the professional development should be uncovered and healed in order to prepare our teachers for the challenges of the modern world. NAHE has achieved a target of training more than 5000 faculty members through more than 140 courses conducted at the doorstep of public sector universities, irrespective of provincial boundaries, across Pakistan.

But unfortunately…….. Devolution of HEC will push us back to the Stone Age, will spread the darkness and kill the process of learning, and will stop growing awareness among the masses of the nation.

Empowering Academic Leaders… The slogan will no more be seen after the devolution of Higher Education Commission…

WE NEED TO UNITE AND STANDUP TO SAVE HEC
